Live-In Care Service

Choosing the right care at the right time is one of the most important decisions we will make in our lives. For many of us, the most important thing is to remain at home and in doing so, retain our independence. Some people will need ongoing 24-hour-live-in care due to the long term nature of their health and physical conditions, some will require daily and ad hoc personal or domestic service, perhaps after a fall or operation, helping to get them back on their feet.

At Circle of Care, we are very clear in our mission to enhance the quality of life for people in the comfort of their homes by providing safe care and support services. We have the knowledge, experience, skills and empathy to support anyone looking for care and that is why we are ‘circle of care’.

Our live-in care service enables people to live in their own homes with 24-hour bespoke services that meet their care needs, lifestyle & choices. Circle of Care understands the challenges of living with a stranger in your home, but we assure you that we will be there to listen and support you.

Benefits

  1. You are in charge: carers live with you in your own home on your terms. Being in control means that you have the final say in matters concerning your life. Your individual desires and preferences are respected and enforced.
  2. The carer gets to know you, and how you wish to be supported to meet your care and lifestyle needs.
  3. It gives you peace of mind knowing that you have someone with you at all times.
  4. Your carers are trained specifically to meet your needs.
  5. To make arrangements flexible; you decide what your day-to-day and week-to-week schedule should be.
  6. To introduce you to quality care workers who have a true passion for caring for others and who have the necessary skills to meet your individual needs.
  7. A personal assessment, completed by an experienced Social Worker and a Staff Nurse
  8. Choice of care workers and replacement carers, all of whom are Police & reference checked
  9. Training and supervision of all carers and support staff,  with regular reviews of your service.
  10. Your care worker is there to help you maintain your standard of living and to assist with whatever you choose to do, be it cooking, shopping, helping with the housework or even enabling you to keep appointments or even trips to see family or friends. Maintaining your existing lifestyle is of paramount importance to our carers.

Our Approach

There is an old saying that one size never fits all and that is very much the case when it comes to providing home care.

Each of our clients is individually assessed and has a unique support plan that is tailored to provide the care and help that person requires. The support we deliver is then regularly reviewed to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

We provide the following services:

  • Practical support: Helping with cleaning, washing up and laundry tasks and assisting with shopping, collecting pensions and benefits and paying bills.
  • Personal care: Helping with getting in and out of bed, personal hygiene, continence management, dressing, preparing and eating meals and other daily routines.
  • Companionship: Accompanying clients to social, leisure, religious or cultural occasions and other events, night sitting, plus respite support for family and other carers.
  • Long term care: Supporting clients with all aspects of their daily life to enable them to stay at home
  • Rehabilitation: Helping clients regain life skills (such as domestic and personal care tasks) following an illness, operation or injury.
  • Transport: Driving clients to shops, social or other functions and to appointments at a doctor’s surgery/hospital.

Conditions to Consider

  • When employing a Live-In carer, you will need to provide them with a room of their own, all meals and anything they might need to carry our their tasks, such as cleaning equipment, gloves etc.
  • Personal Liability Insurance that would cover the Live-In carer against any accident or injury whilst in your home is highly recommended.
  • Travelling costs will be charged in addition to standard rates.
